About the role
Advanced Data Solutions team at EXL builds modern data platforms on Microsoft Fabric. The Data Engineer designs, develops, and maintains scalable ingestion and transformation pipelines, implements Medallion Architecture, and creates curated datasets for analytics and AI/ML use cases. Pune, India, hybrid work model with on-site collaboration.
What you’ll do
- Design and maintain Fabric Lakehouse environments
- Develop ETL/ELT pipelines using Fabric Data Factory and Data Pipelines
- Implement data quality, governance, and performance tuning
- Create dimensional and analytical data models for Power BI
- Collaborate with BI teams to support reporting and analytics
What you’ll bring
- Graduate in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
- 4-6 years of data engineering experience
- Hands‑on with Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Fabric Lakehouse, Fabric Data Factory
- Proficient in PySpark, Spark SQL, and SQL
- Experience with Azure Data Services and ADLS
- Knowledge of Medallion Architecture and Delta Lake
