About the role

State & Local Tax (SALT) team at RSM provides specialized tax advisory services to middle‑market clients. The Senior Associate delivers profitable SALT services, researches and resolves complex state and local tax issues, prepares technical memoranda, and manages tax assignments and client deliverables. Works from Bengaluru or Hyderabad office with an on‑site schedule.

What you’ll do

• Deliver profitable SALT services to clients
• Research and resolve technical state and local tax issues
• Prepare technical memoranda, matrices, and client deliverables
• Manage tax assignments and related projects
• Coordinate information flow with clients
• Review work papers and state tax returns
• Participate in billing and collection processes
• Identify opportunities for additional client services

What you’ll bring

• 2+ years state and local tax experience
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field

Nice to have

• CPA or Masters in Accounting
• MBA or LLM in Taxation
• Knowledge of diverse state and local tax matters
