Principal Lead ETL Architect

About the role

Ameriprise India LLP seeks a Principal Lead ETL Architect to drive enterprise integration strategy and modernization roadmaps for secure, scalable data movement. Based in Noida with a hybrid work model, this role involves defining architecture standards, leading technology evaluations, and mentoring teams to support cloud and AI platforms. The position requires deep expertise in ETL, middleware, and API management within the financial services sector.

What you’ll do

• Define and maintain enterprise integration architecture strategy, target-state architecture, and multi-year modernization roadmaps.
• Develop and promote enterprise integration principles, standards, reference architectures, and best practices.
• Lead architecture assessments, proof-of-concepts, technology evaluations, and strategic recommendations.
• Drive modernization initiatives involving ETL, file transfer, API-led connectivity, event-driven architectures, and AI-enabled workflows.
• Partner with application, data, cloud, infrastructure, platform, and security teams to align technology roadmaps.
• Implement governance processes, technology standards, and architectural guardrails ensuring consistency across portfolios.
• Mentor solution architects and engineers through technical leadership, architecture reviews, and knowledge sharing.
• Serve as an escalation resource and strategic advisor during major incidents and critical architecture reviews.

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 12+ years of technology experience with 8+ years in architecture, integration, or platform strategy.
• Demonstrated experience defining enterprise technology strategy, architecture roadmaps, and modernization programs.
• Strong expertise in ETL/ELT, middleware, API management, event-driven architecture, managed file transfer, and orchestration technologies.
• Experience leading large-scale technology transformation and modernization initiatives.

Nice to have

• AWS cloud architecture and integration services.
• Snowflake platform architecture and data integration patterns.
• Informatica IDMC and PowerCenter modernization experience.
• Managed File Transfer (MFT) modernization and strategy experience.
• Financial Services industry experience.
