About the role

Tekion AI Platform team builds an AI‑native, end‑to‑end automotive platform that transforms dealership data into real‑time intelligence. The Staff Software Engineer, AI Engineer designs and operates the LLM control plane and gateway, creates unified APIs/SDKs, and enables safe, cost‑efficient multi‑model LLM usage while also supporting classical ML pipelines. Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, on‑site work model.

What you’ll do

• Build and run LLM control plane/gateway with routing, rate limits, and cost tracking
• Ship unified API and SDKs (REST/gRPC) with observability
• Enforce safety and privacy via content filtering and PII redaction
• Enable multi‑model LLM usage with automated canarying and versioning
• Design orchestration patterns and manage agent runtime
• Develop platform components for classical ML pipelines and experiment tracking
• Create monitoring for model/data drift and implement retraining pipelines
• Mentor engineers and champion MLOps and AI safety best practices

What you’ll bring

• 8+ years building large‑scale data/ML or platform systems
• Strong software engineering fundamentals
• Production experience with Python and Java/Scala/Go
• MLOps at scale (Airflow/Kubeflow, MLflow)
• Cloud and containers: AWS, Docker, Kubernetes
• Experience building or operating LLM gateway/control plane
• Knowledge of graph databases and vector search
• Designing APIs and microservices
