About the role

Azure NetApp Files (ANF) team builds industry-leading cloud storage services that power mission-critical enterprise workloads in Microsoft Azure. The Senior Software Engineer designs, develops, and operates cloud‑native, distributed data‑plane services, leads features through the full software lifecycle, and ensures reliability and performance at scale. Bangalore, Karnataka, IN – on-site work model.

What you’ll do

• Own design, development, performance, scalability, and reliability of data‑plane services
• Lead features through architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and production support
• Build and maintain cloud‑native microservices using containers and CI/CD pipelines
• Drive engineering excellence via code reviews, automated testing, and security best practices
• Collaborate with product management, architects, and cross‑functional teams
• Mentor team members and contribute to technical growth
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and implement long‑term improvements
• Communicate technical solutions and trade‑offs to stakeholders

What you’ll bring

• 8+ years software or systems engineering
• 3+ years data management or storage platform experience
• Strong proficiency in Go
• Experience with Kubernetes and container technologies
• Hands‑on development of RESTful APIs
• Experience building cloud‑native systems on Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Proficiency in Python for automation and CI/CD tooling
• Familiarity with C/C++, C#, React or TypeScript
