Thoughtworks seeks a Financial Analyst in Bangalore to partner with consulting teams, ensuring sound financial decisions that drive commercial success and sustainable growth. The role involves creating process improvements, providing critical analysis for mission-critical problems, and shaping long-term financial outcomes through insightful recommendations. This on-site position requires a Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting and experience as a Financial Analyst.

What you’ll do

• Partner with finance leadership and business stakeholders to shape long-term financial outcomes
• Provide insightful recommendations driving business decisions including contract parameters and multi-year planning
• Improve processes, tools, and systems usage including KPIs, receivables, payments, and data visualization
• Accountable for month-end variance analysis
• Detect, analyze, and solve problems inhibiting team effectiveness
• Mentor and grow team members' skills while driving team engagement
• Promote team morale and ensure effective internal and external cooperation

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
• Experience as a Financial Analyst
• Strong financial acumen including revenue recognition principles
• Working knowledge of balance sheet accounting, controls, and compliance
• Experience with major ERP systems such as Oracle PeopleSoft or SAP
• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Suite
• Ability to analyze financial data, identify drivers/trends, and build financial models
