About the role

PDS BI&T Enterprise Functions team at Bristol Myers Squibb drives validation, quality, and data governance for enterprise IT systems supporting drug development. The Associate Director leads operational oversight of computer system validation, QC systems, and IT problem/deviation management, mentors a cross‑functional team, and partners with vendors and senior leadership to ensure regulatory compliance. Hyderabad, India, on-site role with occasional travel for vendor and stakeholder engagements.

What you’ll do

Provide operational leadership for validation and QC systems
Oversee resource activities ensuring regulatory compliance
Develop and improve quality, technical services, and CSV processes
Coordinate cross‑functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders
Set performance metrics, coach, and develop team members
Monitor vendor SLAs and address issues promptly
Prepare and present reports on validation initiatives to senior leadership
Collaborate with senior leadership on strategy implementation

What you’ll bring

12+ years in computer system validation (life sciences)
4+ years leadership experience
B.E./B.Tech. in CS, data science, or related field
Strong knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11, GAMP, Agile
Experience with CSV, LIMS, CMMS, SAP, Veeva, ServiceNOW
Vendor management and contract negotiation
Team budgeting and resource allocation
Fluent English communication
