Associate Technical Lead, Ecology

About the role

Nature Services (Ecology) team at WSP drives excellence in ecology project delivery for infrastructure development. The Technical Lead oversees planning, execution, and high‑quality technical outputs, mentors the GCC Ecology team, and manages scope, budgets, and client relationships. Mumbai, India with hybrid work model (remote and office days).

What you’ll do

• Serve as primary technical liaison for UK‑based Nature Services & Arboriculture directors
• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of ecology‑related outputs from inception to completion
• Provide operational oversight and technical guidance to the GCC Ecology team
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and risks
• Monitor and report on commercial performance and budget utilization
• Uphold health, safety, welfare, risk, and information security standards
• Act as technical face of India‑based Ecology team in client interactions
• Contribute to bids, marketing materials, and strategic business development

What you’ll bring

• Significant experience in Environmental/Ecology disciplines, preferably within infrastructure development
• Membership in a relevant professional institution
• Proven track record of managing complex, multi‑disciplinary projects
• Strong commercial acumen and accountability
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience mentoring and upskilling technical teams
