Senior Associate II, General Engineering

About the role

At Alcon, the MES Project Modeler role supports the Siemens Opcenter MES rollout across Alcon’s diverse manufacturing sites. Day-to-day, you translate process maps and operational requirements into fully configured workflows within the Opcenter ecosystem, partnering with manufacturing operations, quality, engineering, and IT teams to ensure digital shop-floor processes deliver efficiency, standardization, traceability, and compliance. This full-time position is based in Bangalore, India, with a 1 PM to 10 PM IST schedule and relocation assistance available.

What you’ll do

• Convert process maps, user requirements, and manufacturing procedures into functional Opcenter Execution workflows
• Configure MES objects including operations, work instructions, process steps, workflows, rules, forms, data collection plans, and electronic records
• Manage MES master data and ensure alignment with SAP, automation, and other shop-floor systems
• Develop and maintain workflow logic, business rules, and exception handling to support manufacturing operations
• Partner with manufacturing engineers, process owners, and production teams to validate requirements and ensure MES functionality aligns with real-world processes
• Collaborate with IT/OT teams to support system integrations such as ERP, historians, and automation
• Participate in solution reviews, design reviews, and requirements workshops
• Create and execute test scripts for workflow validation, functional testing, and system changes

What you’ll bring

• 3-5 years as a Subject Matter Expert within Manufacturing in Siemens Opcenter MES
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Leadership skills and a solid understanding of site operations and manufacturing processes
• Prior experience leading work streams
• SAP Experience
