Artificial Intelligence Engineer

About the role

A partner company seeks an Artificial Intelligence Engineer in India to build production-ready generative AI solutions. The role involves designing LLM, RAG, and agentic systems while developing robust backend services. This remote position offers flexible freelance or contract engagement for experienced professionals.

What you’ll do

• Build, deploy, and maintain production-ready LLM, RAG, and agentic AI systems
• Design and implement document intelligence pipelines for AI-powered workflows
• Develop AI applications using LangChain, LangGraph, and LlamaCloud
• Build robust backend services and APIs supporting AI applications
• Design retrieval systems using embeddings and vector databases
• Deploy and operate AI services across major cloud platforms
• Apply MLOps and model evaluation practices to improve reliability
• Translate business requirements into scalable, production-ready AI solutions

What you’ll bring

• 4+ years professional experience in AI, ML, or software engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with Generative AI and LLM-based systems
• Proficiency in Python with FastAPI or Django frameworks
• Practical experience with RAG architectures, embeddings, and vector databases
• Experience using LangChain, LangGraph, or LlamaCloud

Nice to have

• Exposure to MLOps, model evaluation, and performance optimization
• Familiarity with prompt engineering techniques
• Experience deploying AI services on AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Familiarity with LangSmith, SQL, or observability tools is a plus
