Assistant Manager Sales

About the role

Accor seeks an Assistant Manager Sales for Novotel Chennai Sipcot in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. The role investigates market conditions and competition to design and execute sales plans and strategies that increase revenue for the hotel's facilities. Day-to-day duties include establishing customer relationships, coordinating across hotel departments, and supporting the Director of Sales & Marketing on the strategic sales plan.

What you’ll do

• Maintain seamless coordination and cooperation with all departments of Novotel Chennai Sipcot
• Ensure maximum cooperation, productivity, and guest service across the hotel
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with all departments
• Respond to queries by resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner
• Ensure the team is trained for all safety provisions
• Keep personnel well informed of the department's objectives and policies
• Motivate and develop the team to ensure smooth functioning and promote teamwork

What you’ll bring

• Investigate and assess market conditions and competition to determine effective sales programs
• Establish and maintain relationships with current and prospective customers
• Update knowledge of special events, conventions, business meetings, and market opportunities to support sales
• Design and execute sales plans and strategies for assigned segments to increase sales and revenue
• Plan and initiate action plans to approach and secure new business
• Escalate matters affecting the hotel's interests to Management
• Assist the Director of Sales & Marketing in developing the Strategic Sales Plan for segments
• Ensure achievement of objectives established in the Organization's Strategic Plan
