About the role

TestVagrant Technologies seeks a Senior SDET to architect and build scalable automation frameworks for high‑scale backend services. The role focuses on Java‑based API testing, Docker/Kubernetes test environments, and CI/CD integration with Jenkins or GitHub Actions. Based in Bengaluru, India, the position is on‑site with a 3‑day onsite expectation. The SDET will mentor junior engineers, drive quality initiatives, and collaborate closely with developers and product managers to ensure robust backend validation.

What you’ll do

• Design scalable automation frameworks for backend services
• Write clean, maintainable Java test suites
• Perform deep‑level API testing and performance validation
• Containerize test environments with Docker/Kubernetes
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with developers and PMs on edge cases
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices
• Lead quality initiatives across the engineering org

What you’ll bring

• 3-5 years SDET experience
• Strong Java (Collections, Streams, Multithreading, OOP)
• REST API automation with RestAssured or Karate
• Docker & Kubernetes containerization
• CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions)
• SQL/NoSQL database validation
• Microservices architecture
• Maven or Gradle build tools
