About the role

WSP is seeking a Senior Engineer - Mechanical-Power to deliver engineering, review, coordination, and technical assurance for mechanical systems within a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. Day-to-day work covers Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Balance of Plant mechanical packages, and vendor engineering deliverables, with close interaction with OEMs, EPC contractors, and cross-functional teams. The role is based in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India, with Mumbai and Bengaluru also listed as locations, and operates under a Hybrid Work Model.

What you’ll do

  • Review Gas Turbine and Steam Turbine OEM technical documents, P&IDs, GA drawings, installation manuals, and engineering data for GT and ST equipment
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry codes (ASME/API/ISO), and contractual requirements
  • Coordinate technical discussions with turbine OEMs regarding design clarifications, interfaces, and performance guarantees
  • Support mechanical design assessments, auxiliary system integrations, and operation

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech)
  • Strong understanding of GT and ST design, operation, and auxiliary systems
  • Knowledge of mechanical package systems in a CCGT plant
  • Proficiency in reading and reviewing engineering drawings and 3D models
  • Familiarity with mechanical engineering codes and standards (ASME/API/ISO)
  • Experience with EPC project workflows and vendor engineering cycles
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or other drawing review tools

Nice to have

  • Document management systems (Aconex, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Experience working with leading OEMs
  • Experience in EPC or Owner’s Engineer roles
  • Familiarity with CCGT power plant
