About the role
nVent seeks a Design Engineer in Bangalore, IN to advance its mission of connecting and protecting customers with inventive electrical solutions. Day-to-day, you will create and verify technical drawings, own modified/customized orders, support sales with technical clarifications, align designs with plant capabilities, and coordinate engineering order activities. This is an on-site, full-time role for a technical university graduate eager to grow.
What you’ll do
- Participate in initial project meetings
- Take ownership of modified/customized orders
- Provide technical support to the sales team and involve in technical clarification/customer discussions
- Create and verify technical drawings starting from projects
- Apply Design for Manufacturing aligned with plant capabilities
- Maintain contact with internal and external collaborators
- Perform quality review of design before release to manufacturing
- Coordinate, organize, and supervise activities for orders logged under Engineering
What you’ll bring
- Technical University graduate (TCM, Mechanics, Mechatronics, etc.)
- Good knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD; other parametric CAD software (Catia, Inventor, ProE, SolidEdge) is an advantage
- Ability to understand technical drawings, analyze the best process, estimate cost, work to deadlines, and problem-solve
- English level at least medium; proficient user of Microsoft Office suite
- Attention to detail with commitment to quality and results
- Able to communicate effectively with production, sales, and back office levels
- Dedicated, organized, eager to learn and improve continuously
