About the role

Information Technology group at DTCC delivers secure, reliable technology solutions for global capital markets. The Principal Oracle Database Engineer leads a distributed DBA engineering team, oversees database operations, designs and migrates Oracle databases to AWS RDS, and ensures performance, security, and availability. Hyderabad, India, hybrid model (3 days onsite, 2 days remote).

What you’ll do

Manage and lead distributed DBA engineering team
Own production escalations and incident resolution
Architect and implement Oracle databases on AWS RDS
Migrate on‑prem Oracle platforms to AWS
Monitor and optimize performance using AWR/ASH, RDS Insights, CloudWatch
Develop and optimize PL/SQL code and database objects
Implement security controls (encryption, masking, auditing)
Design disaster recovery solutions

What you’ll bring

12+ years Oracle DBA experience
Hands‑on AWS RDS for Oracle
PL/SQL performance tuning
Experience with RAC, Exadata, Data Guard, ZDLRA
Scripting in Shell, Python, Ansible, Terraform
CI/CD pipelines (Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Maven, Jira)
