About the role
CapGrid Solutions seeks an experienced Assistant/Deputy Manager in Sourcing & Vendor Development for fasteners and additional categories within the consumer appliances sector. The role involves leading multi‑category sourcing, supplier evaluation, audits, RFQ management, contract negotiation, cost‑reduction initiatives, and cross‑functional collaboration with engineering, quality, SCM, and production teams. Candidates must have 5–10 years of sourcing experience, deep expertise in fasteners, and a proven track record in supplier development and cost optimization. Strong analytical, negotiation, and documentation skills are essential.
What you’ll do
- Lead sourcing for fasteners and additional categories
- Identify and evaluate reliable suppliers
- Conduct supplier audits covering cost, quality, capacity
- Manage RFQ, price negotiation, rate contracts
- Drive cost reduction initiatives and value engineering
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, SCM, production
- Ensure compliance with technical specs and quality standards
- Monitor vendor performance: pricing, quality, OTIF
- Develop sourcing strategies for supply assurance
- Maintain documentation, dashboards, procurement records
What you’ll bring
- 5–10 years sourcing/vendor development experience
- Hands‑on fasteners sourcing (screws, bolts, nuts, washers, rivets)
- Experience in consumer appliances industry
Nice to have
- Experience in additional category (plastics, sheet metal, casting, electronics, packaging)
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and supplier management skills
- Excellent understanding of technical drawings, BOM, tolerances, costing
- Strong commercial acumen and problem‑solving mindset
