About the role

Expeditors, a global logistics company headquartered in Seattle, Washington, seeks an Air Export Asst. Manager in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. This full-time role supports the Air Export Manager in running the air export product by overseeing operations, finances, sales, people, systems, and culture in line with company policies. Day-to-day duties include monitoring regulatory compliance, managing vendor relationships and accounts payable, supporting pricing and customer retention, mentoring team members, and leveraging system tools for exception-based management.

What you’ll do

Monitor compliance with internal policies (e.g., Operational Process Standards) and external government regulations or customer requirements
Understand department process flow and continuously identify areas for improved efficiency
Ensure customer standard operating procedures are followed per the DLSOP
Use system reports (STAT1, TRNRPT, CONRPT, SHSUM, RARRPT, STAT3) at required frequencies to supervise operations
Support the manager in building and maintaining vendor relationships, promoting market solutions to be the lowest-cost customer, and evaluating vendors with corrective action plans
Support finance by maintaining accounts payable within 30 days, following credit procedures, managing vendor payables via BNP, and resolving intercompany discrepancies via AJAX report
Support sales/retention by providing pricing alternatives and routing solutions, responding to RFPs/quotations with competitive pricing, participating in new business transitions, and completing custo
Support people functions by mentoring a No. 2, allocating workloads during peaks or absences, ensuring 52 hours of annual training per employee and mandatory new-hire training within 6 months, partici
