About the role
The Senior Executive - Coding Auditor role focuses on ensuring accurate IP DRG coding and clinical documentation support within the organization. Day-to-day duties involve reviewing inpatient medical records, mentoring coders, and providing education to staff on IPPS methodology. This is a hybrid position based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
What you’ll do
- Perform in-depth review of select inpatient medical records.
- Ensure assigned codes and DRG are supported by clinical documentation.
- Verify diagnoses and procedures are coded with required specificity.
- Check discharge disposition and POA correctness.
- Mentor and train other coders.
- Provide ongoing feedback and education to coding staff and Clinical Documentation Specialists.
What you’ll bring
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in IP DRG coding or auditing.
- Bachelor's Degree.
