Automation QA Engineer

About the role

Light & Wonder’s digital team leads the global iGaming market, delivering content and software for online gaming providers. As an Automation QA Engineer in Bengaluru (ITPB Whitefield), you will design, enhance, and maintain scalable UI and API automation frameworks, develop Java-based test scripts with Selenium/Playwright, integrate suites into CI/CD pipelines, manage test cases in TestRail, and champion quality within an Agile setup. This is a full-time hybrid role requiring 3–5 years of QA automation and Java experience.

What you’ll do

• Design, enhance, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for UI and API testing using Selenium/Playwright
• Develop and maintain automation test scripts for Selenium and Playwright in Java
• Develop and execute automated regression, smoke, and functional test suites integrated with CI/CD pipelines
• Proactively identify gaps, suggest process and framework improvements, and drive adoption of best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies, improve coverage, and ensure high-quality releases
• Manage test cases, execution results, and reporting in TestRail
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, estimations, and retrospectives
• Mentor junior QA engineers and help evolve automation standards across teams

What you’ll bring

• 3–5 years of experience in QA automation and Java programming
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
• Hands-on experience with Selenium and Playwright for UI automation
• Solid experience in API testing using Postman or REST Assured
• Experience integrating automation with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI)
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology and TestRail or similar test management tools
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Proactive, detail-oriented, with a continuous improvement mindset
