Facilities Engineering Analyst

About the role

The Facilities Engineering Analyst role at Caterpillar Inc. supports the Manufacturing career area by performing equipment maintenance while ensuring safety and performance standards. Day-to-day work includes inspecting machinery, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, tracking work orders and parts via a CMMS, and communicating major equipment issues to managers. The position is based in Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu and is on-site five days a week.

What you’ll do

• Communicating major issues in equipment performance and maintenance to managers and supporting the team in implementing robust solutions to improve overall efficiency, yield, and uptime of the equipme
• Complying with safety, health, and environmental guidelines and participating in continuous improvement of the procedures while performing equipment maintenance
• Inspecting machinery and equipment to identify problems and potential solutions, and performing appropriate troubleshooting and preventive maintenance procedures
• Tracking work orders, spare parts, and maintenance parts consumption, and scheduled preventive maintenance procedures using Computerized Maintenance Management System

What you’ll bring

• Basic understanding of 5S Housekeeping concepts and ability to design, implement, and sustain 5S strategies
• Basic understanding of problem solving approaches, tools, and techniques for recognizing and resolving operational problems
• Basic understanding of service excellence concepts and techniques to meet or exceed customer needs
• Basic understanding of mechanical/machinery knowledge including design, use, repair, and maintenance
• Basic understanding of technical troubleshooting approaches to anticipate and resolve technical issues
• Basic understanding of decision-making processes and critical thinking to analyze situations and reach productive decisions
• Basic understanding of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles, methods, and processes
• Basic understanding of effective communication concepts and techniques
