About the role

APAC Financials team at Workday India builds outstanding customer experiences by delivering innovative consulting services for Workday Financials. As a Principal Functional Consultant, you will lead design, configuration, and deployment of financial solutions, mentor new consultants, and ensure best‑practice adoption while collaborating with GTM and cross‑functional teams. The role is based in Mumbai with a hybrid model, spending at least 50% of time onsite each quarter.

What you’ll do

• Lead design and configuration of Workday Financials solutions
• Collaborate with GTM teams to build vision and value realization
• Mentor junior consultants
• Ensure client data conversion and integration
• Maintain Workday certification and product expertise
• Provide status reports to Engagement Manager
• Advise on best practices and referenceability
• Support multiple simultaneous projects

What you’ll bring

• 15+ years functional experience in Financials software
• 12+ years consulting experience
• 8+ years implementing Workday or comparable ERP
• Functional expertise in General Ledger, Accounts Payable, or Accounts Receivable
• Validated project management experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Business analysis and requirements gathering
• Ability to learn technology quickly
