About the role

Centralized Underwriting team at Bajaj Finance drives the underwriting of used‑car loans, ensuring robust risk metrics and efficient processing. The Area Manager leads underwriting operations, collaborates with business, risk and operations to refine policies, and supports compliance across pan‑India markets. Pune, India – on‑site role with occasional travel (8‑10 days) to understand regional markets.

What you’ll do

• Underwrite used car loan business
• Incorporate industry best practices for processing turnaround and risk metrics
• Provide insights on underwriting practices
• Drive ownership of internal processes and compliance
• Support Business, Risk & Operations to meet long‑term goals

What you’ll bring

• Chartered Accountant or MBA with at least 8 years experience in financial services underwriting
• At least 6 years underwriting experience in used car loans
