About the role
The Data Governance Lead BA3 role supports a partner company in leading the development and maturation of a large-scale healthcare data governance program. The position provides strategic direction across data governance, privacy, analytics, and digital health while shaping frameworks and policies for provincial-scale implementation. This fully remote position is based in India.
What you’ll do
- Lead establishment and maturity of healthcare data governance program at provincial scale
- Develop comprehensive data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and accountability models
- Provide strategic leadership across data governance, digital health, analytics, and clinical operations
- Partner with government leaders, executives, and technical teams to align governance priorities
- Collaborate with Privacy departments on policies, PIAs, and ethical data use
- Facilitate complex stakeholder discussions and resolve competing priorities
- Prepare executive-level reports, presentations, and decision-support documentation
- Promote consistent governance practices to improve data quality, security, and accessibility
What you’ll bring
- University degree in Healthcare Sciences, Health Administration, Business Administration, Health Informatics, or IT
- 10+ years leading Canadian healthcare data governance strategy at provincial/territorial level
- 10+ years progressive leadership in government health-system planning and digital health
- 10+ years experience in public healthcare sector or acute-care environments
- 8+ years developing digital health strategies and roadmaps at provincial scale
Nice to have
- 5+ years working with Privacy departments on policies, PIAs, and consent management
- 8+ years producing executive-level reports and facilitating complex stakeholder discussions
- Exceptional strategic thinking, communication, and executive stakeholder management skills
- Strong understanding of healthcare data governance, privacy, and public-sector environments
