Senior Front End Software Engineer

About the role

Senior Frontend Engineer role at an innovation-driven team building high-performance web applications for enterprise customers, with curiosity about AI-assisted engineering. Day-to-day work includes designing and scaling React UIs, building reusable component libraries and design systems, contributing to frontend architecture and performance optimization, owning CI/CD workflows, and evaluating AI-assisted development tools. Based in Pune, full-time.

What you’ll do

• Design and maintain scalable, performant UIs using React and modern JavaScript
• Build and maintain reusable component libraries and design systems
• Contribute to frontend architecture, state management, and performance optimization
• Participate in code reviews, uphold best practices, and mentor junior engineers
• Own CI/CD workflows (Jenkins) and manage source control (Bitbucket/Git)
• Track work in Jira with clear technical scoping
• Evaluate and integrate AI-assisted development tools to improve velocity and quality
• Champion accessibility, cross-browser compatibility, and responsive design

What you’ll bring

• 5 to 9 years of professional frontend engineering experience, including at least 2-4 years on production React applications at scale
• React (5+ years hands-on) with hooks, component composition, performance optimization, and state management (Redux Toolkit or equivalent)
• JavaScript (ES6+) with strong fundamentals and asynchronous patterns
• Node.js experience building/maintaining backend services, REST APIs, or BFF layers
• HTML5 and CSS3 with semantic markup, responsive layouts, and CSS-in-JS or utility-first frameworks
• Practical exposure to AI-assisted development including LLM coding assistants, prompt engineering, agentic workflows, and MCP or similar tool-use patterns
• Experience with micro-frontend architectures and Module Federation
• Writing unit test cases using Vitest, React Testing Library, Mocha, or Chai

Nice to have

• Exposure to SSE (Server-Sent Events) or real-time streaming patterns
• Prior mentoring or feature-team leadership experience
• TypeScript
• Docker and Kubernetes
