About the role

This Apprentice/Graduate role in Chennai, India, is designed to develop graduates technically and professionally toward becoming future finance leaders and experts. What you’ll do

  • Calculate net asset values of funds by processing daily accounting functions to ensure accurate and timely fund pricing
  • Prepare financial statements for annual and interim cycles, including first drafts of audited annual and unaudited interim statements from trial balance
  • Process complex futures and options for European exchange traded derivatives and serve as central point of contact for clearing banks and client service teams
  • Perform accounting processes including document processing, journal processing, payments preparation, account reconciliation, and report verification
  • Process treasury transactions, prepare/approve payments, manage collateral/margins, monitor reserve requirements, and reconcile bank accounts
  • Process investor transactions, review documentation for anti-money laundering compliance, and maintain investor accounts
  • Monitor compliance results on client portfolios related to regulatory and investment manager mandates and complete research, analysis, and reporting
  • Work with IT and business units to procure data for daily compliance and conformity checks and maintain market, static, and holdings data

What you’ll bring

  • Majoring in Finance, Accounting, or Economics preferred (any other major is also valid)
  • Academic aptitude and analytical capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Basic experience with MS Office
  • Desire to develop a career in the finance industry
  • Display a culture of individual ownership of tasks and accountability
  • Adhere to limits of delegation and escalation procedures to comply with internal policies and external regulations
