Senior Engineer, Design Engineering Projects

About the role

Freudenberg Filtration Technologies India seeks a Senior Engineer in Design Engineering Projects to drive mechanical design and project execution. The role involves interpreting customer specs, creating 3D models and drawings in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD, and supporting site kickoff, surveys, and commissioning. Pune, on-site work model, hybrid collaboration with sales and quality teams.

What you’ll do

• Interpret customer technical specifications and site conditions
• Conduct site kickoff meetings and surveys
• Create general arrangement drawings, BOMs, datasheets, and instrumentation layouts
• Develop 3D models and manufacturing drawings in Autodesk Inventor
• Prepare erection and lifting drawings; verify with vendors
• Support quality assurance and ERP engineering activities
• Assist during guarantee test runs, erection, and commissioning

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 6-8 years design engineering experience
• 5-7 years hands‑on Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Vault Professional, AutoCAD
• In‑depth knowledge of fabrication and manufacturing processes
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
• Leadership: motivate, delegate, empower team
