Senior Software Engineer

About the role

BOLD Platform services team designs, creates, manages, and maintains highly scalable, distributed microservices for web and mobile product applications, handling domains such as visitor tracking, user profiles, authentication, content, and payments. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and optimize enterprise-grade Java and Spring Boot applications, build high-performance REST, gRPC, and GraphQL APIs, and leverage Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and CloudFormation for secure, reliable deployments. You will also mentor junior engineers, collaborate across product, DevOps, and QA teams, and troubleshoot production issues. This role is based in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India.

What you’ll do

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java (8/11/17+) and Spring Boot
• Build and optimize APIs (REST, gRPC, and GraphQL) for high performance and scalability
• Apply Reactive programming to ensure system reliability, scalability, and security in production environments
• Collaborate with product managers, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver high-quality solutions
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architecture planning
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing best practices in coding, testing, and cloud development
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes

What you’ll bring

• 5-8 years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot
• Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures using SQS, SNS, and Kinesis
• Proficiency in GraphQL API development
• Strong background in AWS services (Lambda, ECS, EKS, Auto Scaling, API Gateway, etc.)
• Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed system design
