About the role

Data as a Service (DaaS) & Analytics team at Verizon builds cloud-native security data platforms. The Principal Security Engineer architects and implements large‑scale GCP data pipelines, BigQuery repositories, and serverless microservices to deliver enterprise security analytics via APIs and Looker dashboards. Hybrid role based in Chennai, Bangalore or Hyderabad, India, with remote days and on‑site collaboration.

What you’ll do

  • Architect and optimize security data repositories in BigQuery
  • Design and implement GCP Dataflow pipelines for batch and streaming data
  • Develop serverless microservices using Cloud Run and Cloud Functions
  • Create and maintain Looker semantic layer and dashboards
  • Lead analytics engineers on technical solutions
  • Integrate AI/ML automation via Vertex AI and LLMs
  • Build business cases for security data investments
  • Ensure data security and compliance across platforms

What you’ll bring

  • 8+ years data analytics or engineering experience
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field
  • Expertise in GCP services: BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions
  • Advanced Python and SQL (PostgreSQL) development
  • Experience building streaming and batch pipelines
  • Proficiency with Airflow, dbt, CI/CD for DataOps
  • Knowledge of security data governance and OAuth/OIDC
