About the role

Application Security Team at Cencora safeguards health‑focused digital platforms by defining and enforcing security standards for critical business applications. The Senior Application Security Analyst leads security‑strengthening initiatives, designs automated validation tools, and collaborates with InfoSec to monitor and remediate vulnerabilities across middleware, EDI, and SAP environments. Based in Pune, India, this role operates on‑site with a hybrid schedule as needed.

What you’ll do

• Lead security‑strengthening requirements for business applications
• Strategize and execute security roadmaps and compliance reporting
• Design and develop tools for secure integration and automated validations
• Monitor application impact from vulnerabilities and recommend mitigations
• Generate processes for user privileges and OS upgrade coordination
• Analyze monitoring data to drive system‑wide improvements

What you’ll bring

• 10+ years relevant experience
• Proficiency with Linux (SUSE, RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) and Windows
• Application‑tier security architecture for middleware, EDI, or SAP
• Hardening platform‑tier and application‑tier systems
• Implementing TLS, cipher suites, SAML, OAuth
• Managing LDAP/Active‑Directory and ACLs
• Automating security testing (SCA, IAST, SAST, DAST)
• Strong verbal and written communication

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Salesforce Admin, MCSA, ITIL)
