Software Development Engineer III - Fullstack

About the role

Entain India, the engineering and delivery hub for Entain, seeks a Software Development Engineer III to build software features across Back-end or Front-end domains. Reporting to a Tech Lead within the Product & Technology Team, you will own the full Software Development Lifecycle for moderately complex features, debug issues across environments, and mentor junior engineers. The role is based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.

What you’ll do

• Develop and deliver well-defined, moderately complex features
• Debug and resolve issues across development, testing, and production environments
• Write high-quality, scalable, and reusable code following best practices
• Manage team meetings and RFC processes for proposing changes and improvements
• Be an initial on-call responder for team-managed software
• Collaborate with team members, support new junior engineers, and mentor Software Engineers
• Participate in hiring, prioritize intra-team plans, and contribute to process improvements

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years of experience with frontend framework (Angular) and JavaScript
• 2+ years of experience in Java programming with modern language features and frameworks
• 5+ years of experience with distributed architectures
• Proficient in object-oriented design, algorithms, data structures, and SQL
• 5+ years of experience with Software Development Lifecycle, database management, API integration, and modern tools like Swagger
• Adept in application monitoring, logging, version control, and software testing
• Familiar with automation, applications, CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, and secure coding practices
• Knowledgeable in Microservices, Event-driven architectures, and Agile Development principles
