About the role
The Facility Management team at Vishay Intertechnology seeks a Senior Officer – Facility Maintenance to drive mechanical maintenance excellence. Responsibilities include proposing and implementing FM budgets, monitoring spend, ensuring compliance with technical and legal regulations, and achieving operational objectives through preventive maintenance. The role requires diagnosing equipment and system issues, implementing permanent solutions, and managing routine maintenance programs for HVAC, cooling water, compress air, DG sets, cooling towers, dust collectors, vacuum pumps, pumping systems, exhaust systems, and RO plants. Candidates must possess hands‑on experience with air compressors, HVAC, DG sets, cooling towers, dust collectors, vacuum pumps, pumping systems, exhaust systems, and RO plants, and be capable of low‑budget repair projects such as air conditioning systems. The position demands accurate record keeping of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and equipment inventories, engineering support for mechanical and electrical problems, compliance with EHS codes, supply inventory management, and adherence to standard operating procedures. The role also involves owning new requests, exploring value‑adding opportunities, and maintaining equipment operation through troubleshooting and preventive maintenance. This on‑site role requires strong mechanical engineering, design, and calculation skills, and a proactive approach to facility maintenance.
What you’ll do
- Propose and implement FM budgets, monitor related spendings
- Ensure compliance with technical and legal regulations for facility state and operations
- Achieve mechanical maintenance operational objectives through preventive maintenance
- Diagnose equipment or system problems and implement solutions
- Develop and implement routine maintenance program to keep equipment running
- Perform mechanical engineering, design & calculations for HVAC, cooling water, compress air systems
- Provide engineering support for mechanical and electrical problems
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, equipment inventories
- Comply with functional and EHS codes, advise department on needed actions
- Maintain supply inventory, check mechanical material stock, anticipate supplies
- Keep equipment operating by following SOPs, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, calling for repairs
- Enhance facilities services and reputation by owning new requests and exploring value‑adding opportunities
