About the role
Valeo's GTSC Electronics team in Chennai is seeking an R&D Intern to support automotive research and development projects focused on intuitive driving and reducing CO2 emissions. Day-to-day work includes assisting with experimental setup, data collection and analysis, prototype development and testing, learning company software tools for part design and simulation, and compiling research findings for senior management. This part-time internship is based in Chennai and is open to students perusing their final year of a full-time Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
What you’ll do
- Assist the team in design and execution of R&D projects, including experimental setup, data collection, and analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and contribute to innovative solutions
- Learn software tools prescribed by the company for designing parts and assemblies and simulating Automotive R&D processes
- Participate in development and testing of prototypes, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement
- Compile and present research findings to the R&D team and senior management
- Follow all safety protocols in the laboratory and Automotive R&D environments
- Stay up-to-date with latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in Automotive R&D
What you’ll bring
- Hail from a reputed University / Institution
- Perusing final year in a full-time Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Minimum 70% aggregate in 5th & 6th semester University
- Demonstrated high level of Conduct and Discipline in the Institution
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with ability to work independently
