Project Coordinator

About the role

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) seeks a Project Coordinator to support the SDG Local Action project and Mayors Challenge initiative in Ghaziabad, India. The role involves coordinating day-to-day implementation of circular economy and waste management activities with local municipal partners. This is an on-site position based in Ghaziabad.

What you’ll do

• Coordinate day-to-day implementation of the Mayors Challenge initiative in Ghaziabad
• Develop and update implementation plans, activity schedules, and coordination mechanisms
• Provide technical inputs on circular economy, waste management, and women's empowerment
• Analyze implementation progress and recommend adjustments to resource allocation
• Establish working relationships with municipal departments and service providers
• Convene coordination meetings and document decisions and follow-up actions
• Monitor project activities, outputs, indicators, and risks against workplans
• Prepare high-quality analytical inputs for progress and donor reports
