Senior Business Applications Developer

About the role

Kinaxis seeks a Senior Business Applications Developer to join the IT Application Excellence team in Chennai, India. This role focuses on designing, developing, and enhancing ServiceNow solutions and integrations within Corporate IT. The position is based in Perungudi, Chennai, with flexible work options available.

What you’ll do

• Implement ServiceNow projects including enhancements, integrations, fixes, and features
• Lead technical domain of ServiceNow Release Upgrades and coordinate timelines
• Participate in system testing, defect logging, and resolution of moderate to complex issues
• Design, develop, and document solutions for new platforms and applications
• Contribute to code reviews and adopt configuration management best practices
• Act as technical subject matter expert for specific ServiceNow modules
• Collaborate with business SMEs and Solution Architecture teams
• Work in Agile methodology to deliver projects

What you’ll bring

• Minimum 5 years of ServiceNow development and administration experience
• Experience with ITSM, HRSD, ITOM, SPM, and Employee Center Pro modules
• Demonstrable experience integrating ServiceNow with Jira, SAP SuccessFactors, Salesforce, DataDog, or Prometheus
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field

Nice to have

• Experience consuming or creating APIs and system/data integration
• Proficiency in C#, Java, PHP, .NET, RESTful/SOAP services, HTML5, JavaScript, JSON, XML, CSS
• Experience with SQL Server/MySQL, stored procedures, and database optimization
• Knowledge of authentication protocols such as OAuth, SAML, and OpenID
