About the role

Quest Global seeks a Lead Structural Analysis Engineer in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, to deliver advanced finite element analysis for turbomachinery components. The role involves meshing complex structures, performing linear and non-linear static, thermal, and modal simulations, and assessing bolt/weld joints and fatigue life. Day-to-day work includes validating results, documenting assessments, presenting findings to stakeholders, and mentoring junior engineers while leading team-building and program-level initiatives.

What you’ll do

  • Validate analysis results and document assessments with results summary and conclusions
  • Participate in internal and external reviews and present assessments to stakeholders
  • Mentor and train new joiners and less experienced engineers
  • Take lead in team building and program-level initiatives
  • Provide design suggestions and alternate solutions
  • Perform bolt/weld joint assessment
  • Perform fatigue (LCF and HCF) analysis
  • Conduct harmonic and buckling analyses

What you’ll bring

  • Graduate or postgraduate degree in Mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • 8 to 12 years of experience in finite element analysis (FEA) using ANSYS (Workbench & APDL)
  • Experience preferably in the turbomachinery (gas and steam turbine) domain
  • Proficiency in FE meshing of complex structures using 1D, 2D, and 3D elements
  • Proficiency in creating hexahedral, tetrahedral, and combined meshes with transition in ANSYS/NX CAE
  • Proficiency in model set-up including material, boundary condition, load, and contact application in ANSYS
  • Expertise in linear and non-linear modeling
  • Proficiency in static and transient thermal, structural, and modal analyses
