About the role

DEIC-L&T Precision Engineering & Systems IC team designs integrated EV powertrain architectures. The Mechanical Engineering Architect leads mechanical design, structural analysis, packaging and gearbox integration for X‑in‑1 electric drivetrain systems, coordinating with electrical, thermal, software and supplier teams. Bengaluru, on-site, full-time role with relocation assistance available.

What you’ll do

• Define complete mechanical architecture for X‑in‑1 EV drivetrain
• Develop packaging concepts for motor, gearbox, inverter and related components
• Perform structural analysis of housings, brackets and enclosures
• Coordinate with motor and gearbox suppliers on drawings and validation
• Design enclosures for power electronics and define sealing strategies
• Collaborate with thermal and CFD teams for cooling integration

What you’ll bring

• 8-15 years mechanical design experience
• B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
• Proficiency in CATIA, Creo, SolidWorks or NX
• Experience with ANSYS Mechanical, HyperWorks or Abaqus
• EV drivetrain or e‑axle system knowledge
