Fullstack React Engineer /Senior Engineer

About the role

Fractal Analytics invites a Fullstack React Engineer /Senior Engineer to join its ReBoot program, a four-month returnship for professionals re-entering the workforce. The role blends front‑end and back‑end development, working with JavaScript, React, Java, SpringBoot, and cloud services to build enterprise Data to Decision systems for Fortune 500 clients. Responsibilities include architecture, API integration, UI design, mentoring, UAT, and documentation. Candidates must have 4+ years of fullstack experience, expertise in JavaScript, React, Java, databases, REST, and testing, plus strong problem‑solving and GitHub skills. Preferred skills cover Azure, AWS, GCP, Agile, microservices, CI/CD, and UX collaboration.

What you’ll do

• Architect, estimate, manage, develop & maintain backend and frontend for Data to Decision projects
• Integrate algorithmic output from backend REST APIs with data science & engineering team
• Create dynamic infographics with intuitive user controls
• Mentor junior engineers and support career aspirations
• Translate technical project journey to clients
• Participate in UAT, diagnose & troubleshoot bugs and integration issues
• Create & maintain documentation

What you’ll bring

• 4+ years of demonstrable experience designing, building, and working as a Fullstack Engineer for enterprise web applications
• Expert-level proficiency with JavaScript (ES6), HTML5 & CSS
• Expert-level proficiency with ReactJS or VueJS
• Expert-level proficiency with Java SE, SpringBoot or Play Framework
• Familiarity with databases (MySQL, MongoDB) and data warehousing concepts (OLAP, OLTP)
• Understanding of REST concepts and building/interacting with REST APIs
• Deep understanding of UI concepts: cross-browser compatibility, responsive design, TDD with Jest, jUnit, D3, Chart.js, Highcharts
• Deep understanding of backend concepts: RESTful services, functional databases, performance optimization, multithreading, high traffic infrastructure
• Great problem-solving skills, familiarity with GitHub

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Cloud Services (Azure Web App, Storage, VM) or AWS or GCP
• Experience working with UX designers
• Understanding of Sprints and Agile, prior experience managing Sprints with Jira
• Experience with Microservices, Messaging Brokers (RabbitMQ)
• Experience with reverse proxy engines (Nginx, Apache HTTPD)
• Familiarity with Github Actions or CI/CD tools (Jenkins)
