About the role

Storage Platform & Quality Engineering team at HPE builds enterprise storage solutions and ensures their reliability. The Senior Systems Engineer leads end‑to‑end quality engineering, designs Python automation frameworks, and applies AI/ML for failure analysis and test optimization. Works hybrid in Bengaluru, averaging 2 days onsite per week, collaborating across engineering groups to resolve complex system issues and mentor teammates.

What you’ll do

• Lead end‑to‑end quality engineering for storage platforms
• Design and build scalable Python automation frameworks
• Investigate and resolve complex customer‑reported issues
• Apply AI/ML techniques for failure analysis and test optimization
• Develop reusable tools to enhance observability and productivity
• Drive system‑level testing strategies for performance and reliability
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams
• Mentor team members and foster engineering excellence

What you’ll bring

• 6–10 years experience in QA, system engineering, or storage systems
• Strong programming expertise in Python (or Perl)
• Solid understanding of testing principles and automation design
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems
• Experience diagnosing complex system or customer issues
• Familiarity with enterprise storage technologies
• Exposure to AI/ML techniques such as Generative AI
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills
