Order Handler PDL

About the role

Alfa Laval seeks an Order Handler PDL in Pune to deliver cross-functional service to customers, ensuring timely and accurate communication internally and externally. Day-to-day work includes acting as the first-line contact for order inquiries, managing internal purchase orders, material transfer notes, service center order creation, dispatch planning, quote creation, claims, returns, and credit/debit handling, while monitoring order settlement and KPIs. The role also involves SOP optimization, continuous improvement, waste reduction, and participation in safety and quality work.

What you’ll do

• Act as the contact window for customers to deal with orders
• Manage internal purchase orders within factories and ensure timely deliveries (Internal Supplier Delivery on Time)
• Handle factory Material Transfer Notes and ensure timely availability of material
• Create orders for service centers against POs and ensure timely execution
• Conduct weekly/monthly follow-ups from factories and provide timely feedback to group companies, service centers, and sales
• Plan timely dispatch to service centers and group companies through the warehouse
• Create quotes for GMUs
• Act as claim representative, assist QA, and ensure timely closure

What you’ll bring

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering from a reputed institute
• 2 to 5 years of experience in the same field
• Good English both oral and written
• Good coordination and communication skills
• Good adaptability and flexibility to new situations/challenges
• Good knowledge of MS Office (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint presentations)
• Experience of working with ERP systems
