About the role
Network Reliability Engineering (NRE) team builds network automation solutions and front‑end platforms to boost reliability and visibility across Barry‑Wehmiller's enterprise network. The Software Engineer designs, develops and maintains automation tools, dashboards and internal applications, collaborates with network and IT teams to translate requirements into scalable software, and provides Tier 2/3 support for production issues. Chennai, India, on‑site work model.
What you’ll do
- Design and develop network automation solutions
- Build and enhance front‑end dashboards and internal platforms
- Collaborate with network engineering and IT teams to gather requirements
- Support automation frameworks for configurability and observability
- Troubleshoot and resolve application and integration issues
- Provide Tier 2/3 operational support for automation platforms
- Modernize and optimize existing tools for stability and usability
- Contribute across the full software development lifecycle
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field
- 3-5 years software development experience
- Proficiency in Python, Java, Go or TypeScript
- Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, DNS)
- Experience with web UI/dashboard development
- Linux environment expertise
- Version control and CI/CD familiarity
