About the role
Micron Technology seeks a Senior Data Science Engineer to develop smart manufacturing applications, drive data science strategies, and deliver machine learning solutions across its fabs. The role involves data extraction, cleansing, modeling, API development, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes.
What you’ll do
- Develop and deploy smart manufacturing applications across Micron Fabs.
- Influence data science strategies and applications.
- Provide technical consulting to Fab area teams.
- Extract data via SQL, cleanse, identify outliers.
- Build APIs for application integration.
- Apply statistical modeling and machine learning.
- Lead and present to groups.
What you’ll bring
- Master’s degree or 6+ years in data science.
- Hands‑on experience in data analytics, data engineering, full‑stack development; GCP knowledge a plus.
Nice to have
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
- Knowledge of TensorFlow or similar statistical software.
- Experience with time series data, images, semi‑supervised learning.
Skills
Python and/or R programming.Angular, JavaScript, CSS.Data science, machine learning, advanced analytics.Hadoop stack (Hive, HDFS, HBase, Spark).Cloud knowledge (GCP).SQL and other query languages.Statistical modeling, feature extraction, supervised/unsupervised learning.Full‑stack application development.Agile methodology.
