About the role
AGCO seeks a Quality Inspector to support its Farmer First model and NPS aspirations by preparing, performing, and documenting materials testing for part-level PPAP/ISIR validation in serial production. Day-to-day work includes operating advanced inspection equipment (CMM, Faro, Gear tester), applying GD&T, assessing inspection criteria, managing final reports, and collaborating with suppliers and AGCO factory Quality teams across global locations. The role is based in Pune, MH, IN and is on-site.
What you’ll do
- Prepare, perform and document all elements of materials testing inclusive of casting, forging, heat treat, machining, mechanical properties, certifications failure analysis for root causes for part le
- Perform inspections on advanced level inspection equipment and many other forms of mechanical inspection aligned with the accuracy required by part tolerance and critical characteristics
- Assess each part for the proper inspection criteria, perform the inspections and manage the final reports
- Communicate and collaborate between the supplier of the part and the inspection to manage inspection concerns and rejections relative to metallurgical needs
- Collaborate with the AGCO factory Quality department on application topics, clarity for inspection criteria or technical points that require validation
- Operate in an environment focused on compliance to industry standards, facility competency, lab process flow, efficiency, safety and lab site communications between AGCO manufacturing locations
- Collaborate globally with Regional Supplier Quality teams, Global Purchasing, Manufacturing and Supplier/Supplier's Quality to attain necessary quality and performance levels
- Support and collaborate on corrective actions between suppliers and inspection teams
What you’ll bring
- Bachelors – Mechanical or any Equivalent degree
- 5 years of experience in a modern Metrology function under inspection of parts & PPAP approval from the Durable Goods, Heavy Equipment, and/or Agriculture industry
- Advanced ability to read, interpret, and understand complex technical drawings, tolerances, and part design elements
- Experience collaborating within a large global enterprise, working effectively across multiple support sites and cross-functional teams
- Mid to advanced proficiency in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to operate advanced inspection equipment – CMM, Faro, Gear tester and conduct Precision measurement
- Strong knowledge of GD&T for measurement, evaluation, and inspection processes
- Ability to document, maintain, and track inspection results with high accuracy and compliance
