Associate Software Engineer

About the role

CDK Global is seeking an Associate Software Engineer to build professional expertise within the software engineering function, solving moderate-scope problems and analyzing solutions using technical expertise and independent judgment. Day-to-day work includes planning own priorities, sharing knowledge with teammates, and potentially participating in on-call rotations to support production systems and platform reliability. This full-time role is based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.

What you’ll do

• Builds professional expertise, including knowledge of the domain, processes, customers, etc.
• Solves variety of problems of moderate scope and within own area
• Analyzes possible solutions using technical expertise and independent judgment, typically within defined practices and procedures
• Plans own work priorities on a regular basis without guidance of management
• Shares skills and knowledge with others while building working relationships
• May participate in on-call rotations and emergency response activities to support production systems and maintain platform reliability
• Follows all CDK Global policies and procedures
• Completes all mandatory assigned compliance tasks and acknowledgements

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
• 0-2 years of experience; OR in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, at least 8-10 years of related experience
• Deep knowledge of at least one programming language
• Ability to document, track and monitor problems/issues to a timely resolution
• Self-motivated and collaborative problem-solving ability
• Ability to work independently/in a team environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
