Senior System Engineer, Windows

About the role

Strategic Accounts (Infra) team at Ensono designs and operates high‑availability compute and storage solutions for enterprise clients. The Senior System Engineer builds and automates Windows, VMware and Linux environments, leads disaster‑recovery design, and mentors staff on scripting and DevOps practices. Based in Bengaluru, India, this role works on‑site at the client’s data center with up to 15% travel.

What you’ll do

• Design and configure virtual servers, storage and data protection solutions
• Develop automation scripts and DevOps pipelines for system provisioning
• Lead disaster‑recovery planning and primary design meetings
• Mentor technical operations staff on Windows and virtualization technologies
• Monitor system performance, capacity and utilization, producing regular reports
• Implement OS patches, firmware updates and advanced network configurations
• Research vulnerabilities and document corrective actions
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align solutions with Ensono strategy

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• 8+ years of systems engineering experience
• 5+ years Windows OS administration
• 5+ years VMware administration
• 5+ years Linux (RHEL) administration
• Scripting experience with PowerShell, Python or Bash
• Experience with automation tools such as Chef or Puppet
• AWS design and management experience (optional)
