Java Consultant

About the role

Iris Software is seeking a Java Consultant to join its IT services practice, helping enterprise clients across financial services and other sectors with mission-critical application engineering. The role involves designing and developing low-latency FX Trading Systems, leading offshore teams, and applying SDLC models across waterfall and agile delivery. Based in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India, the consultant will own complex Java-based solutions and support technology-enabled transformation for clients.

What you’ll do

• Design and develop low-latency systems for FX Trading System engagements.
• Lead offshore teams in delivering complex, mission-critical application engineering work.
• Apply SDLC models including waterfall and agile across project delivery.
• Write Core Java and multithreading code for high-value complex systems.
• Use unix scripting and RDBMS SQL (e.g., SQL Server) to support data and backend needs.
• Support technology-enabled transformation for enterprise clients across financial services and related sectors.

What you’ll bring

• Computer science or similar education background.
• 8+ years total work experience.
• 8+ years experience in SDLC models (waterfall and agile).
• 6+ years Java coding experience with strong Core Java and Multithreading skills.
• 4+ years experience in unix scripting and RDBMS SQL (e.g., SQL Server).
• Strong experience leading offshore teams.
• FX Trading System experience with strong low-latency system design and development.
