Supplier Quality & Development Engineer Senior

About the role

Corporate Supplier Quality and Development team leads supplier quality and development initiatives across the global supply base. The Senior Engineer evaluates supplier capability, drives corrective actions, mentors staff, and partners with internal stakeholders to improve performance and reduce risk. Hyderabad, India, hybrid work model with up to 50% domestic travel required.

What you’ll do

• Conduct supplier assessments and develop corrective action plans
• Monitor and improve supplier performance metrics and scorecards
• Lead APQP, PPAP, CAPA and process improvement initiatives
• Partner with internal stakeholders and suppliers on technical quality issues
• Mentor plant quality staff and supplier engineers on quality systems
• Standardize quality processes and drive continuous improvement across supply chain
• Support issue resolution and new product development activities
• Travel domestically up to 50% for supplier site visits

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, materials, industrial, or manufacturing engineering
• 10+ years of supplier quality or quality assurance experience in manufacturing
• Experience with casting, machining, forging, metallurgy, heat treatment, electronics, plastics, or coatings
• Proficiency with Six Sigma, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, root cause analysis
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, TS16949, AIAG CQI audits
• Experience conducting supplier audits and assessments
• Strong analytical, project management and communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems and lean manufacturing tools
