About the role
Weekday AI team builds enterprise data platforms leveraging Microsoft Fabric and semantic technologies. The Senior Data Engineer Lead designs scalable data solutions, creates pipelines, lakehouses, and semantic models, and collaborates with stakeholders to enable AI/ML analytics. Pune, Maharashtra, India (also Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Noida) – on-site work model.
What you’ll do
- Design and develop data solutions using Microsoft Fabric
- Build and manage data pipelines, lakehouses, and warehouses
- Develop semantic models, ontologies, and knowledge representations
- Implement data engineering solutions with Python
- Ensure data quality, governance, and metadata management
- Support advanced analytics and AI/ML initiatives
- Translate business requirements into scalable architectures
- Drive enterprise‑scale implementations with minimal supervision
What you’ll bring
- 6+ years data engineering experience
- Hands‑on Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Lakehouse, Warehouse)
- Experience with Fabric IQ and Ontology
- Advanced Python programming for data processing
- Designing semantic models and knowledge graphs
- Implementing ETL/ELT pipelines on cloud platforms
- Collaborating with business stakeholders
- Azure certifications preferred
