About the role
Zensar Technologies seeks a Senior Front End Developer to lead frontend application development for its eTools initiative, collaborating with eTools senior engineering and business teams in India. Day-to-day work includes leading frontend development, contributing to testing and requirement specification, building new modules for work planning, improving code organization and performance, conducting code reviews, and maintaining a publicly visible roadmap. The role is a full-time engagement with a day shift.
What you’ll do
- Lead frontend application development, working closely with eTools senior engineering and business teams
- Contribute to software development, testing, and requirement specification processes
- Develop enhancements and improvements for eTools and related systems, including building new modules for work planning
- Improve code organization, documentation, and performance, writing test scripts, and conducting code reviews
- Collaborate with the project team to ensure all requirements are met and participate in conference calls, webinars, and correspondence as needed
- Create technical documentation and improve data modeling and API performance
- Handle code repository and testing procedures, following established software development practices
- Ensure near-total test coverage for all code and repeatable testing for system performance and scalability
What you’ll bring
- 5+ years of experience working on open-source enterprise-related projects
- 3+ years of experience with Polymer and WebComponents.js
- 3+ years of experience working with and maintaining software on a Kubernetes environment
- 5+ years of experience developing and deploying decoupled, front-end solutions
- 5+ years of experience with Django and Django REST Framework
- Experience developing and deploying web solutions for low-bandwidth, challenging work environments
- Proficiency in optimizing frontend artifacts and building Progressive Web Apps
- Strong experience with Git, especially in an open-source environment, and distributed team collaboration
