About the role
State & Local Tax (SALT) team at RSM provides tax advisory and compliance services to middle‑market clients. The Senior Associate delivers state income, franchise, sales and use tax solutions, prepares technical memoranda, manages tax assignments and coordinates client information flow. Role is based in Bengaluru or Hyderabad with on‑site work required.
What you’ll do
- Deliver profitable SALT services to clients
- Research and resolve technical state and local tax issues
- Prepare technical memoranda, matrices and client deliverables
- Manage tax assignments and related projects
- Plan and coordinate information flow with clients
- Review work papers and state tax returns
- Participate in billing and collection processes
- Identify opportunities for additional client services
What you’ll bring
- 2+ years state and local tax experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
Nice to have
- CPA or Masters in Accounting
- MBA or LLM in Taxation
