About the role
Paytm's Oil and Gas vertical Focused Offline payment solution team seeks an Area Sales Manager in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh to drive EDC/POS machine sales to petrol, gas, and retail merchants. Day-to-day, you will build and lead a team, set goals, delegate tasks, oversee daily operations, monitor performance metrics, coach and motivate staff, resolve merchant queries, and maintain relationships with PSU/Oil marketing companies. This is a full-time, on-site role requiring graduation or post-graduation.
What you’ll do
- Drive swiping device sales in the assigned area
- Resolve merchant queries and drive overall engaged merchant base
- Hire, build, and motivate a team while setting clear goals
- Delegate tasks, set deadlines, and oversee day-to-day operations
- Monitor team performance, report on metrics, and provide coaching
- Listen to team feedback, resolve issues or conflicts, and recognize high performance
- Encourage creativity and risk-taking and organize team building activities
- Maintain good relationships with PSU/Oil marketing companies
